I am going to begin by saying that although I LOVE writing I am not the best or even mildly good at grammar. I don't know why the grammar rules just don't stick? Maybe because I am bilingue? I write pretty well in Spanish but it's just English that I can't get right. I do tend to write well enough and keep interest enough that I have almost finished my Bachelors with a 3.5 GPA, although I admit that those class papers went through write point and re-writing many many times! So a warning to those grammar natzis, if you can't stand grammar mistakes don't read! Although I promise if you chose to overlook my mistakes it will be worth it.
What this blog is NOT about: Politics or immigration reforms. I have my thoughts on these but reserve them, Believe me they are not what you can imagine. I research a lot and weight the pros and cons when purchasing a household item so you best believe I go full throttle before I make a decision or settle on a point of view. Rest assured I actually read on new law proposals and candidates before I vote lol.
What this blog IS about: Me and the impact being Chicana has in my life, about my past, present and maybe future struggles. It's about what Mexican American women represent, the strength and struggles we go though while holding and keeping our Mexican heritage alive and intact. It is hard, especially in a country that tries and often succeeds at breaking us down.This is a place for this Chicana to write down and share these struggles, these struggles that began even before she was conceived....
